Think about how we could fix our debt problems. How about reducing the amount of money we give to foreign countries as aid? It's billions of dollars.
Is that so we can have them as our allies and friends? Do you buy your friends? I think not.
Outside our country's borders, they do not like Americans meddling in their affairs and there is a general dislike of us and our political system.
More often than not we are sending aid to governments and their military while the population in those countries see no benefit. In essence, we are buying governments and alienating the population. WOW.
Here is a dollar (or should I say 80% of what used to be a dollar) would you be my friend?
So lets stop the foreign aid and bring the money home along with our troops.
I wonder how many countries would still listen to what we had to say or what we wanted if we stopped giving them money. We are giving away our hard earned tax dollars.
(I need to stop saying 'we' because I am pretty sure most Americans don't want that to continue so I will say our elected leaders)
I just can't believe the American people keep re-electing the same congressmen over and over. It gives them absolute control over our lives. They don't listen to the average American and then claim it's what the people want. It's total bull.
Do you think, for one minute, people on social security want their benefits reduced or altered?
Why not raise taxes on the wealthy? It would certainly help the deficit.
And do you really believe if we don't raise the taxes on the wealthy, it will really create more jobs for Americans? Take a look at your states unemployment rates. The wealthy dropped the ball on creating more jobs. Let's raise their taxes. It can't get any worse.
Another thing, in case you've forgotten, the majority of congressmen are included in the wealthy category. And there's the problem.
